Driving Academy’s Greenville campus provides commercial driver training for students pursuing Class A, Class B and Class B Passenger CDLs. Training combines classroom education with simulator practice, hands-on instruction in a 2-acre training yard, and on-road driving.
The school offers flexible scheduling seven days per week, including evening and weekend training. Students can choose different course levels depending on whether they are beginning the CDL process or already have their commercial learner’s permit.
Class A training prepares students to operate combination commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers.
Class B training prepares students to operate qualifying heavy single-unit commercial vehicles, including vehicles commonly used for delivery, construction and other commercial applications.

Graduates who obtain the appropriate CDL and endorsements may pursue positions such as tractor-trailer driver, local or regional truck driver, delivery driver, commercial vehicle operator or passenger/bus driver.
Students generally need a valid driver’s license, Social Security number and the ability to pass a DOT physical. Drivers must generally be at least 18 for intrastate commercial driving and 21 for interstate commercial driving.
