Driving Academy’s Wayne campus provides CDL training for students throughout northern New Jersey, including Wayne, Paterson, Passaic, Clifton and surrounding communities. Students can prepare for Class A, Class B and Class B Passenger commercial driver’s licenses.
Training combines classroom education with commercial-driving simulators and practical instruction in a one-acre training yard located at the school. The campus operates seven days per week and offers evening and weekend schedules.
Class A training prepares students for combination commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers.
Class B training prepares students to operate qualifying heavy single-unit commercial vehicles, including many box trucks and delivery vehicles.
Class B Passenger training prepares students for commercial passenger vehicles, including qualifying buses, subject to applicable endorsement requirements.
The comprehensive program provides more than 100 hours of training, including classroom instruction, yard practice and road training. It also includes vehicle rentals and multiple road-test attempts under the program’s terms.
Full Courses combine permit preparation with behind-the-wheel instruction and are intended for students beginning the CDL licensing process.
Half Courses are intended for students who already have their commercial learner’s permit. Training focuses on inspections, parking, basic vehicle-control skills and proper road driving.
The Wayne campus does not publish a single standard tuition amount for all training packages.
Driving Academy advertises payment plans beginning with $500 down. Students should request the complete tuition and fee breakdown for their selected program before enrolling.
