Overview

Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School is a large public vocational high school in South Easton serving students from communities in the Brockton/Southeastern Massachusetts region. It should not be confused with Southeastern Technical Institute, the adult postsecondary school located on the same campus. The high school serves grades 9–12, while STI operates separate adult career programs.

The high school has one of the broadest CTE lineups in Massachusetts. Current state records list more than 20 Chapter 74-approved programs, including traditional trades, advanced manufacturing, automotive, healthcare, information technology and creative fields.

Incoming ninth graders participate in a vocational exploratory process before selecting their permanent career program. Current admissions policy says students explore 15 vocational programs through short project-based experiences before making their program choice.

• Electricity
• HVAC/R
• Plumbing
• Metal Fabrication & Joining Technologies
• Advanced Manufacturing
• Robotics & Automation

The school also accepts vocational work requests from the community in automotive, carpentry, collision repair, metal fabrication/welding and precision machining, providing students with opportunities to apply skills to practical projects.

Real-World Training

Southeastern has developed external partnerships to give students practical work experience. One example is its collaboration with Habitat for Humanity, where carpentry, electrical and HVAC students have participated in actual residential construction projects as part of their curricula.

The school also supports Cooperative Education, allowing qualified students to gain occupational experience with employers while still enrolled. Recent student examples show co-op participants working in industry while completing their vocational education.

Tuition & Financial Aid

Southeastern Regional is a public regional high school. Eligible students from participating communities attend through the public-school system rather than paying private vocational-school tuition.

Traditional FAFSA-based financial aid does not apply to standard grades 9–12 enrollment.

The campus also houses Southeastern Technical Institute, which is a separate postsecondary vocational school with its own tuition, financial aid and adult programs. Keep these two Directorist listings separate because they serve different student populations.

Student Reviews

Based on your listing data:

Average Rating: 3.8 (65 Reviews)

The rating is somewhat mixed. Prospective families should read current reviews while also considering program availability, cooperative education, certifications and the competitiveness of admissions.

Enrollment Tips

• Apply early because vocational-school capacity is limited
• Ninth graders should research multiple trades before vocational exploration
• Ask which certifications are available in your chosen shop
• Investigate Cooperative Education once eligible
• Compare programs carefully because not all students are guaranteed their first-choice shop
• Do not confuse the high school with Southeastern Technical Institute’s adult programs

Bottom Line

Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School is one of the most comprehensive vocational high schools in southeastern Massachusetts. Its combination of automotive, electrical, HVAC/R, plumbing, carpentry, welding, advanced manufacturing and robotics gives students unusually broad career options, while vocational exploration and cooperative education help connect classroom training with real-world employment.
